Biography

Joel Matus, who oversees day to day operations of Williams Island Realty, earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis in 1995. He became a Florida licensed realtor that same year, and subsequently received his Florida real estate broker designation in early 2001. As part of a successful real estate family, Joel literally grew up in the real estate development business. He saw Williams Island unfold through the years as he acquired experience in areas such as zoning and development. He assisted the project manager of the 7000 tower (Villa Marina) in everything from general contracting to the foundation and finishing this project, and brings this knowledge to his current position as Broker/President of Williams Island's only on-site realty company. This consummate professional acknowledges that success requires focused effort and dedication. That's why he has worked hard and has a proven track record of being Williams Island Realty's leading sales associate. In addition, since taking over the helm of the brokerage company, he has lived up to his promise to expand it with other real estate professionals who share his steadfast commitment to making the sales experience the best it can possibly be.
